We had a wonderful Christmas this year! It was so fun to watch Clark open and really appreciate his gifts this year!! He LOVES his trains!!!! Christmas Eve Rob had to work, but we were able to meet up with him for dinner and luckily he was able to get off early and meet up with us later on in the evening. After we ate and dropped Rob back off at work, Clark and I headed down to the train park in Scottsdale. We rode the carousel and train and he was in HEAVEN!!! It was a little tricky to get him off at the end of the ride seeing how he had wrapped each chubby finger so tightly around the bars. After the train ride, we headed over to the Weed household and dipped pretzels, played games, etc. Rob made it just in time to watch the movie on the birth and life of Christ and games that followed our little Christmas program. After a long game of Settlers, we decided to head home at midnight and stuff stockings and set up Clarks train.
Christmas morning we took our first R &M Nelson family picture on the stairs. Clark was grinning ear to ear as he opened his cars, trains, etc. After presents, we headed over to my parents for their fam. pic on the stairs and for my moms breakfast casserole that Rob looks forward to all year long. Over there, Clark was surprised with the smallest Big Wheel you have ever seen. He loves it!! After spending time at my parents house, we went to the Nelsons and visited and tried out Kent's Steamer on some of Robs new shirts. While over there Clark watched Polar Express for the 8 time this month!! He love that movie and requests it daily!! We had the Nelson Family party last week where Kathleen made her famous hamloaf and other gourmet sides!! Over there, all of the grandkids opened presents from grandma and grandpa Nelson. Clark got the cutest little piano with microphone that he has been wanting ever since he laid eyes on it at Target!! We have had a very Merry Christmas and we hope everyone enjoyed theirs as much as we did!
Christmas Eve we received news that my grandma Weed had passes away at the age of 87. As we watched the movie on the life of Christ, we were especially grateful for our Savior and his willingness to Atone for the sins of the world and be resurrected. Because of Christ we all will be resurrected and be able to return to our Heavenly Father and live with our loved ones who have gone before us and also those who will come after us. The news was bittersweet because my Grandpa passed away last October and we know they will have a sweet reunion in Heaven. I am grateful for their amazing examples and exlemporary lives.

We both always say this, but we need to hang out. Hope all is well!
