Utah

 

 

 

 

Our trip to Utah was bittersweet. Our reason for going was to attend my Grandpa Weed's funeral. The funeral was so sweet... there isn't room on this blog to write about the amazing life my grandpa led and how much I admire him. I may attempt to do a Post on him in the near future as soon as I can pull together some pictures I have of him. Anyway, it was so good to spend time with all of my aunts, uncles, cousins, etc on the Weed side! I feel so grateful to belong to such a wonderful family! It was also so fun to see my bor. Mike and my bro. ans sis in-law Tom and Emily! Clark misses his uncles and aunt! Clark was a PERFECT little traveler and didn't cry once during the very LONG car ride! Oooh, I just love that boy! While traveleing, I finally decided to start "Twilight"...From last Wed. to Sun. night, I managed to finish all 3 books! Needless to say, I LOVE them!

Weekend at the Cabin

This weekend we went up to the cabin and brought along Robs brother, his wife Kelly, and their two girls. We had a lot of fun playing games, watching a movie, visiting, etc. It was pretty cold, but we kept quite warm with the "Blaze King!" Here is something a little odd, as we were driving home, we realized that clarks cheeks were EXTRA rosie...and continue to be rosie. He looks like Santa Clause. It was a nice relaxing weekend that will be followed by a heck of a long drive to Utah tomorrow. My Grandpa Weed passed away on Thursday and so Clark and I are heading up to Utah tomorrow with my parents while Rob stays behind for school and work. I hope Clark behaves himself! I know it is a long drive, but I just really want to be there so off we go! We love you Rob and will miss you like crazy!

Rob and I just wanted to wish you a happy happy birthday! We love you and appreciate your amazing example! I feel so grateful to have you as a father-in-law and I know Rob feels so blessed to have you as a father. We appreciate all you do for us and we hope you have a wonderful birthday! Love, us

Clark Cracking Up!

Clark was in his Bumbo while I was making dinner and for some reason, he was really getting a kick out of peek-a-boo!

Lemons, Luncheon, & Lounging

 

 

 

 

This afternoon, Clark and I met up with with my mom, aunt Sidney, Natalie+ the twins & baby Cash, Rachel+baby Myles, and Liesel + baby Berlin for lunch. Clark and I had so much fun with you guys and we hope Cash feels better soon...poor guy! It has been so fun to have had babies so close together with some of my favorite cousins! Those boys & cute Berlin are going to have a hay day up at the cabins when they get a little older! Today at lunch, Clark was not only introduced to his cousins, but also to the tangy taste of a lemon! At first he was a little shocked by the new taste, but seriously after two licks, he was hooked! It was the funniest thing, as soon as I would take the lemon out he started crying and grabbing for it. He must take after his Aunt Christy. I swear for as long as I can remember she has had this thing for "real lemon" juice! She is always putting it in her water, she even use to conatminate the entire load of ice in the ice maker by drenching all of the ice with that stuff. We wondered why our ice always had a strange lemon taste to it until we finally caught her in the act. Anyway, sorry for the tangent. It was good to see you girls and your super cute babies!

ps...check out Clarks' "Muffin feet". We have yet to find a pair of shoes that will fit those thick muffin feet! Oh, how i love to squeeze them!

What a day

 

 

 

 

Yesterday, I was over at my parents house hanging out with my little sisters. I don't know what it is with them and taking pictures, but as soon as they see a camera, they instantly insist on snapping some shots. I gave them a quick lesson on how to focus the camera, etc and then they went at it. They each took turns taking the pictures while the other stood behind trying to get Clarks attention and a smile out of him (that was pretty fun to watch). Chloe even insisted that Katie and I pose with our hands on our knees...i think she has a real future in photography. I will have to admit that I did feel a little funny standing there in the front yard posing for pictures,that often took WAY too long to take, while holding the same smile as several cars drove by. Although that was semi embarrasing, nothing compares to what happened later that day. I had forgotten my cell at home and needed to get a hold of Rob, but I was pretty sure that I remembered his number (isn't that sad that I don't have it memeorized?!) so I gave it a try. The first time I called, it went to his voicemail, but at least I knew that I had the right nubmer so I could try again later. So i called back and someone answered and said "(so in so) Concrete." Well, I was sure that I had called the right number, so I thought it was his friend messing around with me. I continued to go along with it while saying the most ridiculous things. The man on the other end asked who I was looking for and I said "my husband" and he then continued to ask what his name was and what he looked like, so I said "well, his name is rob and he is tall dark and handsome." Anyway, this conversation went on for about 5min ( i actually called 2x still thinking it was a joke) until I realized that I prob. really did call the wrong number. The poor guy was so confused b/c I kept telling him that his number was robs cell. It eneded with him kindly trying to help me figure out what number I had dialed wrong ..."Maybe you dialed a 0 but it is suppose to be a 4...etc" Seriously, he went through each number in the cell number and tried to figure out what number looks or sounds like it that I may have been confused by (it was actually pretty funny listening to him go on). ANyway, sorry for the novel, and funny story to me that prob. doesn't make sense to anyone who is reading it. My sisters and I had a good laugh.

Oh, I just can't get enough of this boy! He cracks me up all day long and recently has become quite the little giggler! We had a great weekend of conference and cool weather!

Such a Little Man

 

Today, Clark and I were in the car running errands and he was talking/spitting like crazy and then he just stopped and it was silent. I quickly turned my head to look at him in his seat to see if he had fallen asleep. To my surprise, I saw clark arching his head, peering up at me with his big blue eyes! At first, I was a little startled to see 2 big eyes starring up at me, but then I just started laughing and clark joined in. He is so darn cute! He has recently discovered his tounge...he always is sticking it out of smacking it on his lips! I swear he drools buckets each day! We love him so much!
