valentines week recap

Friday, Clark and I met Rob on his break and went to the train park to ride the train and then afterwards got cupcakes at Sprinkles. I think coconut is my new favorite. Saturday, Rob had work in the evening so we went to an afternoon movie and grabbed lunch. It is always fun when we get time to hangout. That night I had a hot date with my other little valentine. Clark and I ate dinner together and then made white chocolate lava cakes and watched one of his movies. It was a great Valentines day and I am just grateful for two great boys in my life.

So, on the whole private matter....I really hate when I come across someone I know and I click to find that their blog is private and I have no way of letting them know I want to be invited, so I am hesitant about going private, but then again don't want strange people looking at our family pictures etc. I found this site where I can monitor the people who visit and where they come from, how long they stay, etc. So I am gonna keep a close eye on it. Oh, decisions decisions.

GOING PRIVATE

Too many hits from weird countries and it is making me a little nervous. Apparently sicko creeps are taking innocent pictures of kids off of family blogs and using them in child porn sites. I would rather be safe then sorry. We would love to invite all you nice people to our blog so leave your email or text me your email address. Thanks

A Snow Adventure

This morning we woke up and Rob had decided that today was a perfect day to introduce Clark to the snow. Off to the cabin in Pine we went. Seeing how Clark has never really been in cold weather, he didn't really have the right clothes, so we borrowed old snow clothes from my sisters....hence the pink coat, purple snow bibs, and leopard had. He was a real show stopper and I wasn't much better in my purple ear warmers from my mom and my dads true "vintage" ski coat with the original Sundance ski tags from his last trip. There was SOOOO much snow! Luckily for us, 15 min before we got into Payson they had plowed the roads leading into Pine. Everything was smooth sailing until we hit the turn we had to make to head towards the cabin. That was the first time we got stuck. Luckily we were able to borrow a shovel from a neighbor and dig us out. We should have turned back then, but we had such faith in Rob's beloved Forester. We continued down the 2 ft. of snow that had tracks. We crossed the creek, but as we got ready for our next turn we got REALLY stuck. We were about a 10 min. walk to the cabin, so off we went trecking in snow up to my shins with jeans and tennis shoes. It was pretty cold, but a really pretty walk up to the cabin! We started a fire and got all situated and then Rob went back to go dig the car out once again. After Rob got back the fun began!!! We went sledding down a little slope right by the cabin and had so much fun! Clark loved the snow, but liked eating it even more! After a couple of hours up at the cabin, we made the arduous snow treck back to the car. What a fun day!

The Pool In February!

The weather has been so nice...upper 70's and I think even 80 today. I don't know if I owe my thanks to global warming or what, but I am loving it. My tune my change come July and August, although I really don't mind the heat. I will gladly take the blistering summers over the cold, bitter winters ANYDAY! I love AZ! Anyway, in our community the pool is heated year long, so Clark and I shared a day at the pool yesterday and he was in HEAVEN! It was still a bit chilly for my, but Clark didn't mind and spent an hour splashing around on the steps and playing with the pool railings as you can see from the video. I have a feeling we will be living in the pool this summer!! Happy winter to you all!
