Clark-isims

Clark has grown up so much in the last little bit! Sometimes I look at him and wonder where my baby went and where the little man standing in front of me came from. Here are a few funny things Clark has done and his current interests....
1. He is very quiet when he wakes up in the morning. In fact sometimes I wake up to find that he is already awake and has been for who knows how long. The other day I woke up to him outside my bedroom talking about cakes and how he needed to add sprinkles,etc as well as singing "happy birthday." I got out of bed to find him with the pan of rice krispies (sp?) he had gotten from the kitchen downstairs and my big jug of water I keep by my bed. He was having himself a little breakfast feast. As soon as he saw me, he handed me a rolled ball of the treats.
2. He is still obsessed with trains.
3. He likes to pull the cotton off q-tips and roll it into balls. Then he usually carries a collection of rolled balls(from q-tips, tissue, cotton balls,etc) around all day until he looses them or I talk him into throwing them away with a bribe. He likes to roll them on his cheek or just between his fingers...really odd, BUT the strangest thing is, Rob did the SAME thing when he was little. How in the world is a trait like that passed on???!!!
4. He LOVES gum and can sniff it out!
5. He is usually the peacemaker and is pretty good about sharing toys, etc.
6. He has a great imagination. Whenever we go to the park he pretends he is on a Pirate ship, or fishing, or riding a train, etc.
7. He loves playing in the bath. They usually last at least an hour long. Again, the imagination games keep him pretty busy.
8. He loves to build forts with Rob as well as pretend to be a robot (wall-E), or dog.
9. He just got some hand-me down shoes from cousin Rex (they are pretty cool Nikes) and he loves to show me how fast they run and how high they make him jump. He watches the shoes as he runs back and forth through the house.
10. He is a master at "name that tune." Every night at bed time, we hum different tunes from church songs, or movies, cartoons etc and Clark can guess them with as few as 4 notes.
11. He is very particular about things. He has to have his place mat set out when he eats. Thomas always has to be in front of the trains he puts together. His pants have to be pulled down over his shoes when he sits down in his car seat..he doesn't like them to ride up. Cars and trains can't be mixed when put away. He can't sleep without teddy.
12. Whenever we are leaving somewhere or whatever he always try to bargain by saying "5 more minutes. Please mommy!"
13. He hides every time Rob comes home so Rob can come find him. He loves playing Hide and Seek!
14. He loves to dance with Katie and Chloe. In fact, he loves to do anything and everything with Katie and Chloe.
15. He is the sweetest little boy who always remembers his pleases and thank yous.

We love our little Clarky! He is the sweetest, funniest, smartest little boy! We are constantly laughing at the things this kid come up with. We can't wait to add another little boy to the mix and Clark's feelings are mutual...for now.
