Fourth of July Weekend

This summer is flying by! For the fourth we went to a BBQ /Swim party with some friends from the ward. Clark had a hay day playing with all of the kids and swimming on his own. He is "Mr. Social!" these days and I am so glad he has adjusted to the move so well! Rob had Tuesday off as well, so we headed into Sacramento to check out the Railroad museum. It was a little piece of of heaven for the boys. SO MANY TRAINS! Clark loved walking through the old trains, playing with the brakes and whistle, taking tours of the dining and sleeping cars, and watching the little trains go around and around. We had a really great time and Im sure it won't be our last visit.

We are starting to feel like we are home when we pull into the driveway these days, rather than feeling like we are on an extended vacation. We keep busy with swim lessons, swimming with the ward kids once a week, Sonic happy hour runs, trips to Target, playing school (clark is reading simple 3 letter words!), making popsicles, and running in the sprinklers in the backyard. Its still pretty hot here, but every night we get to open the windows and wake up to a house that has cooled to 70 degrees. Rob and I now feel officially part of the Feather River ward now that we have spoken in church. It feels good to have that out of the way. I was called to primary chorister a couple weeks ago and I LOVE being in there with Clark! It has been a really fun calling and in 2 months Kurt will join me for nursery music as well. September can't come soon enough!! Poor Rob does laps in the halls most Sundays while Im busy with primary and nursery music. We love our Kurt, but he is a busy body. Kurt spends his days following Clark, playing with cars, and can usually be found sitting in his little blue recliner looking at books. He is saying all of our names and we especially love when he says "carky". He makes the cutest animal noises when prompted and twirls his curls when we ask "Kurt, where are your curls?" Unfortunately, I feel those cute curls have their days numbered. A little primary girl asked if he was a girl yesterday at church and I said, "no, he's a boy." She then said, "ooooh,, was he just born like that?" She was very concerned. Maybe, I'll be brave this month and give my kurt a big boy hair cut and say good bye to those sweet curls...maybe, but maybe not

Love the pics!!!! Clark looks like he's grown a foot. He's so tall. Those trains look so cool. Loved the San Fran post. We really need to make a trip up there. Keep the updates coming!! We miss you guys!
