Weekend at the Cabin/ Mt. Humphreys Peak

Rob and Mike at the top of Arizona's highest mountain....Mt. Humphreys Peak! For weeks the boys were talking about how the hike was going to be so hard and long....apparently Mike never heard any of these conversations. My mom heard that they were going to ride a ski lift up and then hike down, so she told Mike it was going to be like a little nature walk. It was so funny, when mike got home he said, " I was grossly missinformed!" I couldn't stop laughing, but hey they all made it up and back down and were all pretty proud of their accomplishment!

My dad was the oldest hiker by quite a bit (sorry dad, but it's true), but he was able to keep up with everyone! He got so hot half way up, that he wipped out his pocket knife'; return true;" style="BORDER-BOTTOM: 3px double; TEXT-DECORATION: none" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;" href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=31&k=pocket%20knife">pocket knife and cut his jeans at the knee.

This pic. is a little out of place, but the elk were right down in the meadow. Rob got pretty close with my cousin Natalie's twin boys, but the elk turned and started after them, so they took off running.

Dad reaching the peak with his pink bandana (sp?) he found along the way from the cancer walk. Oh, b/c of the cancer walk, they had to start 3 miles before the hike actually began.
While the 8 boys hiked (Rob, mike, dad, patrick, willie, roman, chad, clint), the girls and the 3 baby boys'; return true;" style="BORDER-BOTTOM: 3px double; TEXT-DECORATION: none" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;" href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=31&k=baby%20boys">baby boys hung out at the cabin and visited!
